Sun damage can cause advanced signs of aging on the skin. Pregnancy, weather and the natural aging process can also change the appearance of the skin and cause surface irregularities. For patients who want to rejuvenate the appearance of their skin, laser skin resurfacing may be a great option. It can smooth and soften fine lines and wrinkles without surgery. Results are noticeable within a few short weeks of treatment. Las Vegas patients find that improvements in the skin’s tone and appearance are long-lasting and they appreciate the nonsurgical aspect of this treatment.

"Couture is the best dermatology practice in Vegas. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes and both Doctors are absolutely top-notch; could not ask for better! A few months ago, Dr. Candace Spann found a spot of skin cancer on my face and her husband, Dr. Marvin Spann, worked his magic to remove it and flawlessly stitched me up. I was nervous that I would have a scar but I don't; he is good! I really like both Dr.'s wonderful smiles when they greet me and the time they take to answer all my questions. I recommend them both to friends and family!"- L.B. / Yelp / Feb 06, 2015
"Best Dermatology office in town. Love both the doctors. Caring, friendly, very up to date in treatment. Friendly staff. They run on time and both my husband and I are very pleased with their professionalism. Just had several skin tags removed and did not feel a thing. Thanks!"- K.M. / Yelp / Jan 07, 2015

Types of Lasers@headingTag>
Las Vegas plastic surgeon, Dr. Marvin Spann, and dermatologist, Dr. Candace Spann, offer the following laser skin resurfacing treatments at Couture Dermatology & Plastic Surgery in Las Vegas:
The eCO2 laser from Lutronic offers highly advanced fractional ablative laser resurfacing. The beam from the eCO2 instantly removes the top layers of skin on the treatment area, correcting sunspots, wrinkles, acne scars, and other blemishes without disturbing the surrounding healthy tissue. Dr. Marvin and Dr. Candace both perform all eCO2 laser procedures at our Las Vegas plastic surgery office. This treatment works well for individuals with moderate to severe sun damage. There is minimal recovery time needed, however, depending on the condition of the skin prior to treatment, some patients may experience a little downtime as the treated area heals.
Lutronic® Spectra™ Laser@headingTag>
Whether you’re tired of hiding scars behind layers of makeup or embarrassed by areas of conspicuous hyperpigmentation, laser skin resurfacing can help you restore a more even tone to your skin. The Spectra Laser by Lutronic uses a dual-pulsed Nd:YAG laser, which can be adjusted to address a number of skin blemishes, including spider veins, hyperpigmentation, tattoos, and acne scars. The Lutronic Spectra is the only laser that is FDA approved for the treatment of melasma. It is also very effective for laser epidermal peels to smooth skin, minimize pores, and even skin tone for a fresh, healthy appearance.
InMode® Lumecca IPL™@headingTag>
Lumecca uses intense pulsed light (IPL) to selectively target and treat skin conditions through selective photothermolysis. Optimized for light and dark skin, Lumecca increases the potential for clinicians to treat a variety of skin types and conditions ranging from facial pigmentation, superficial vessels, skin texture and/or photo-damage.
During/After the Procedure@headingTag>
Laser skin resurfacing is an outpatient procedure. There may be some moderate discomfort during treatment, depending on the laser used and the areas treated. A local anesthesia may be applied to ease this discomfort. Regardless of which laser is used, patients will experience some degree of peel. They will be advised to keep the treated areas safe from any sun exposure and to be patient as the area heals. It may take a few days before the patient can resume normal activities.
The cost for laser skin resurfacing varies according to the technology used and the number and size of areas treated. The average cost can range between $500-$3,000. Factors included are medications (including anesthesia if needed), practitioner’s fee and machine use costs.
