Side effects are considered mild to moderate, and can last between 2 and 4 weeks. The Procedure: Voluma is injected into the cheeks or mid-face, restoring volume and creating a lifted, youthful look. The procedure takes 30-45 minutes and involves only minimal discomfort, thanks to the lidocaine in the filler.

Post-Treatment Care: After treatment, you may experience mild swelling, bruising, or redness, which typically resolves in a few days. Avoid strenuous activities and sun exposure for 24 hours, and follow your provider’s aftercare instructions.

Ideal candidates are typically in their 30s to 60s and are in good overall health. Since Voluma is designed to add volume and lift, it’s best for those looking to address deep lines or areas of the face that have lost natural fullness, especially in the mid-face region.

However, Voluma may not be suitable for everyone. It's not recommended for people who are pregnant or breastfeeding, those with active skin infections or certain medical conditions, or anyone with allergies to components of the filler. If you have a history of severe allergic reactions, especially to lidocaine (the numbing agent in Voluma), you should discuss this with your provider.
