After having mastectomies of both breasts, this patient underwent bilateral tissue expander to silicone implant breast reconstruction with smooth, round, 450cc implants placed beneath the muscle with Alloderm collagen support with Board Certified Las Vegas Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Marvin Spann. She subsequently had nipple and areola reconstruction with full thickness skin grafts.

Breast Cancer Reconstruction

This young woman had the misfortune of developing breast cancer in her left breast. She decided to have both of her breasts removed with her breast surgeon and was referred for consultation for breast reconstruction. She decided to undergo immediate tissue expander to silicone implant reconstruction with Marvin Spann, MD, Las Vegas Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. She had smooth, round, 450cc silicone implants placed under the muscle with Alloderm collagen support with eventual nipple/areola reconstruction. Placing the round implant beneath the muscle results in a more natural appearance. Her breasts are similar in shape to her breasts before surgery, although slightly fuller. She is very happy with her outcome as her new reconstructed breasts are very flattering beneath her clothing. In addition, she didn't have to purchase new bras or a new wardrobe.
