Joi Sawyer, MSPH, FNP-C

Joi Sawyer is a board-certified nurse practitioner in Las Vegas. Her mission is to treat all patients the same as she would any family member while providing them with individualized care.
Sawyer is dedicated to the prevention and reduction of chronic disease within the community. Sawyer gained an interest in integrative medicine after working in the emergency department as a nurse practitioner for more than 10 years. Being in the emergency department, she gained first-hand knowledge of the long-term effects of chronic disease that eventually can lead to the
end of life. Sawyer decided to change her approach to medicine by transitioning to preventative in the form of integrative medicine. Her goal is to help decrease the incidence of morbidity and mortality in Las Vegas and hopefully beyond. She has a strong passion for all forms of anti-aging including aesthetics, cosmetic dermatology, and non-surgical treatments. Not only does she want to keep her patients healthy inside, but she also wants to help intensify their natural beauty on the outside.

Joi Sawyer obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Mississippi Valley State University. After graduating, completed a Master of Science in Public Health at Meharry Medical College, where
she learned how illness and disease affect different population groups and the healthcare system. She then decided the only way to really be knowledgeable and promote change is to become a medical provider. She then completed a Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN in 2008. Sawyer has over 14 years of experience as a nurse practitioner. She is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and licensed by The Nevada Board of Nursing. Certification in integrative/functional medicine from The Institute of Functional Medicine is in process.
