Radiesse dermal filler is made of a synthetic substance, calcium hydroxylapatite, which adds volume to plump out the skin and minimize wrinkles. Radiesse has been shown to stimulate natural collagen production, and it provides structural support underneath the skin. Most patients can return to normal activities the next day. One of the advantages of Radiesse is that it can last up to 2-3 years. Las Vegas plastic surgeon, Dr. Marvin Spann, relies on Radiesse for certain facial improvements. As the only FDA approved dermal filler comprised of calcium-based microspheres, Radiesse boasts a high standard of safety, offering a natural treatment that produces lasting results.
"I could not be more pleased with my results. I would recommend Dr. Spann without hesitation."- Anonymous / Other / Nov 19, 2014
"I’m almost at my one year post op and I have to say, I have never felt so confident! Prior to my Breast Augmentation, it was always challenging to find certain outfits. You would never catch me wearing a bathing suit! Being a mother of now a 3 year old, I waited until I didn’t have to carry my daughter due to lifting restrictions post surgery. I have to say that this was THE BEST better late than never post-partum/Coming in to my 30’s --gift to myself! Thank you to the very helpful and friendly staff! and of course, thank you to Dr. Marvin for making me feel comfortable throughout the whole process and making me look like a hot momma lol"- L.L. / Yelp / Mar 02, 2022

"I love this clinic! I have been seen by doctor Grace Kim, and I cannot thank her enough for her kindness and for making me feel welcome at her office. She always makes sure she answers all my questions and concerns and takes the time to explain to me what is going on with my health. I feel I am not just another patient, I feel Ms. Kim cares for me. Her staff is amazing, from her nurses to the ladies at the front desk. This clinic is very clean and the interior design of the lobby/waiting area is fantastic. Thank you, Ms. Kim, I truly appreciate you!"- L.S. / Yelp / Oct 31, 2019
"I would recommend Dr. Marvin Spann to, and have to my friends, anyone interested in a breast reduction. He came highly recommended to me (as did others) by a colleague, and I am happy I chose him over the other recommendations I received. He was professional and knowledgeable. He has a quiet, calm, and super-confident demeanor. He will answer all of your questions. Everyone in the office is helpful and professional. Of course, as with any surgery, I was nervous, but his confidence relaxed me. The other relaxing thing was the jazz music he played in surgery; as a jazz enthusiast, it was great to hear because that’s how I relax at home. He plays great music in the office as well. I am extremely happy with the result of my breast reduction, shoulder pain is gone, and my confidence is high. My scars are minimal. I thought I would have a significant scar from the nipple to under the breast, but I don’t. Six months post surgery, my scars are insignificant and have diminished a lot since the surgery. The healing process is painful but worth it. Follow all doctor orders. In approximately the fourth week, you will start to feel you can do more normal things, but don’t. I tried to go back to work but had to go home. Wait the full six weeks or more. Dr. Spann’s strength is his desire to do a good surgical job for his patients. He wants you to be as happy with the results as he is.Surgery date 10/2022"- E.W. / Yelp / Apr 08, 2023
Radiesse can be injected during an office visit in just 30 minutes. Before the procedure, the injection areas will be marked and cleaned. A local anesthetic may be used for additional comfort, however the filler itself is mixed with an anesthetic called Lidocaine. Using a syringe, the surgeon will inject the Radiesse filler into the skin. Following the procedure, patients may feel numb or experience redness near the injection sites, which normally subsides in a short time. There is no downtime, and patients are able to return to work following their appointment.
What to Expect
Patients should notice a difference to their face almost immediately following a Radiesse® injection. However, because the injection ingredient works to produce and stimulate collagen development, results will be longer lasting than some of the other fillers on the market. Patients should expect results that include added volume to the face which will smooth out wrinkle, and typically last up to one year. Patients can repeat this procedure when they feel their results are no longer visible.
The average cost for a syringe of Radiesse is approximately $500-$900, and the cost will vary with each case as well as the number of syringes necessary. Our office accepts all major credits cards, as well as checks for payment. In addition, we also have a finance plan for patients who wish to break up the price of their treatment into monthly payments.

What About Other Fillers?
Patients who are considering an injectable filler as part of their cosmetic treatment have a diverse selection of fillers to choose from. Fillers such as Radiesse are considered temporary, even though the results may last up to a full year. Common filler procedures include collagen, calcium hydroxyapatite, hyaluronic acid, polylactic acid, and the heaviest of the fillers, PMMA. During your consultation, we will discuss the various fillers and evaluate your facial tone, laxity, and volume levels to help you decide which filler may be the best choice.
What Makes Radiesse Different?
Radiesse is the only dermal filler composed of calcium-based microspheres, which are comparable to hyaluronic acid injectable fillers due to the natural ability to stimulate collagen production. The results slightly vary from the two types of fillers, and generally patients are more pleased with results from Radiesse.
What About Side Effects?
Patients undergoing Radiesse may have mild redness, bruising, numbness and/or itching that occur following treatment. These are temporary side effects that usually disappear within a day or two.
Radiesse has become a leading facial injection for patients who desire to improve the appearance of their skin. Dr. Craig Jonov offers Radiesse, which is comprised of a mineral known as calcium hydroxyapatite, which resides naturally inside the bones and face. When this calcium gel is injected, volume is added under the skin immediately. It also stimulates the body’s collagen production to help smooth contours, fine lines, and wrinkles for up to a full year. Radiesse is the only FDA approved filler comprised of calcium-based microspheres. It boasts a high standard of safety and effectiveness.
