The Las Vegas cosmetic and dermatology office of Drs. Marvin Spann and Candace Spann is proud to offer Voluma for patients seeking younger looking skin! Voluma is a derma filler comprised of hyaluronic acid; a natural substance found in the skin that works to keep the skin healthy looking and volumous. During the natural aging process, we lose this valuable component, which can cause cheek volume loss and hollowed facial features. Voluma is a popular injection treatment used in malar areas. It is commonly used to smoothen replenish lost facial volume and enhance the cheeks. These results can last for up to two years with optimal treatment. "I can not say enough about both Dr. Marvin Spann and Dr. Candace Spann. Let's start with Dr. M., I met him 24 hours before my bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction surgery. I don't care for male Dr.'s, will go out of my way not to see them, but when cancers involved, you don't always have a choice. Honestly I'm grateful that he ended up on my side, months of visits, 2 surgeries and I got a beautiful pair of foobs. As far as him blowing off infections, haha I developed one and had more added appointments than I wanted. Now to Dr. C, I originally made an appointment to get my skin checked, and while there she pointed out 3 things, one of which was flared up thanks to one of my medications. I had been suffering for months, my skin and I thank her. Then I went back for Botox and filler, best choice I've made. My husband also sees Dr. C. He had a spot she didn't like, she cut it out and his back looks just fine. I always say there's a reason for everything, so for me cancer added 2 amazing doctors that actually care to my side, and in Vegas that's hard to find."- J.G. / Yelp / Feb 10, 2020

What to Expect
Using a think syringe, the cosmetic surgeon injects Voluma into the apex, apple and hollow of the patient’s cheek. Results are immediate, and can last up to 2 years. Side effects are considered mild to moderate, and can last between 2 and 4 weeks. The most common side effects are tenderness, swelling, firmness, bumps, bruising, redness, itching or discoloration at the injection site.
Voluma is more expensive than other injectable fillers, such as Restylane and Juvederm, because the results last longer. The cost of a Voluma treatment varies, depending on the amount of filler used. A consultation is required to determine what you will need. Voluma starts at $900.
What is Hyaluronic Acid?
This is a naturally occurring substance that helps bind water to cells. Its cross-linking abilities help provide lifting capacity, which restores volume in the cheeks and mid-face.
The providers at Couture Dermatology & Plastic Surgery will create a unique treatment plan during your consultation. With extensive experience in a wide array of different fillers and relaxers, your customized plan may include a combination of different fillers and techniques to achieve the desired results.
There is no downtime after a Voluma treatment. Patients can return to their normal activities, but it is suggested that patients avoid strenuous activities for the first 24 hours after any injectable filler treatments.
