I’m almost at my one year post op and I have to say, I have never felt so confident! Prior to my Breast Augmentation, it was always challenging to find certain outfits. You would never catch me wearing a bathing suit! Being a mother of now a 3 year old, I waited until I didn’t have to carry my daughter due to lifting restrictions post surgery. I have to say that this was THE BEST better late than never post-partum/Coming in to my 30’s --gift to myself! I would recommend Dr. Marvin Spann to, and have to my friends, anyone interested in a breast reduction. He came highly recommended to me (as did others) by a colleague, and I am happy I chose him over the other recommendations I received. He was professional and knowledgeable. He has a quiet, calm, and super-confident demeanor. He will answer all of your questions. Everyone in the office is helpful and professional. Of course, as with any surgery, I was nervous, but his confidence relaxed me. The other relaxing thing was the jazz music he played in surgery; as a jazz enthusiast, it was great to hear because that’s how I relax at home. He plays great music in the office as well. I am extremely happy with the result of my breast reduction, shoulder pain is gone, and my confidence is high. My scars are minimal. I thought I would have a significant scar from the nipple to under the breast, but I don’t. Six months post surgery, my scars are insignificant and have diminished a lot since the surgery. The healing process is painful but worth it. Follow all doctor orders. In approximately the fourth week, you will start to feel you can do more normal things, but don’t. I tried to go back to work but had to go home. Wait the full six weeks or more. Dr. Spann’s strength is his desire to do a good surgical job for his patients. This is my first time making a YELP review. I felt that I must share my wonderful experience with Dr. Marvin Spann. I am 65 years old and have had over 15 breast surgeries since my first one at age 21. I have had multiple problems from implant encapsulations, ruptures, and bad doctors leaving my breasts deformed and irregular and non symmetrical. My left areola was shriveled up and I thought that I had little left to work with. A couple of years ago I decided to have all implants and free floating silicone removed leaving my chest flat and lumpy with deformed looking nipples and areolas. Dr. Spann was recommended to me by a family member and I was reluctant to do anything as I thought that ever looking pretty again was hopeless. I gave Dr. Spann a chance since I thought I had nothing to lose. To my surprise he repaired my areala and made it and my nipples look back to normal and my breast looked greatly improved and with a second fat grafting surgery my breasts now look better than they have ever looked even when I was young. Best set of Beauty Doctors at Couture Dermatology & Plastic Surgery!! I feel so blessed I found this “dynamic duo.” Drs. Candace and Marvin Spann are hands down the best doctors in town for dermatology and plastic surgery. Been going to them for years after a friend recommended them and they continue to exceeded my expectations every time. The Drs. are professional, friendly, knowledgeable and on the cutting edge in their field (dermatology and plastic surgery) and their offices are beautiful, elegant, and impeccable. Both Doctors enjoy holding promotional events when introducing a new treatment in their practice. Last autumn, I attended an event where they introduced the Agnes & Scarlet treatments. It was an informative presentation followed by a Q and A. And of course, like all they do, it was elegant: they had a beautiful and tasty spread made up of great wines, a delicious charcuterie board, and melt into your mouth desserts. The Doctors also held raffle throughout the evening with an assortment of prizes which included beauty products and discounted treatments packages. We had the opportunity to speak with the Drs. one-on-one at the event, got to know the staff and met new people. At the end of the event, we all walked away with lovely goodie bags. The event was lovely and elegant, just like them. They make a lovely and personable couple and everyone enjoys being around them. One could not ask for a better set of Doctors and I cannot say enough about them. When it comes to dermatology and plastic surgery, there is only one place in Vegas to go: Couture Dermatology and Plastic Surgery. I went thru a long journey with breast cancer and I am very thankful for what Dr. Marvin Spann has done for me. I had mastectomy, chemo and radiation so reconstruction was not easy. My family and I have gone to them forever. They are a family to myself and my kids. My son had the horrible acne and they helped him. My daughter had moles removed when she was younger & more recently when she had a horrible rash after a c-section (they squeezed her in repeatedly and helped her. Lastly, I myself had different treatments for skin cancer - first time about 7-8 years ago a big chunk of nose removed & Dr Marvin stitched it up beautifully after Dr Candice diagnosed. Also, last year to spots on my hairline needed removal & Im all healed and much hair has returned. I recommend them highly!!! More

I was diagnosed with breast cancer last November, a very scary time for me. I am grateful that I was referred to Dr. Marvin Spann to have reconstruction with an expander at the same time as my mastectomy. My overall experience with him and the staff has been excellent. As a retired physician, I tend to be a bit hard on my evaluation of a new doctor. I have been to at least 10 different dermatologists since moving to Vegas 16 years ago and ended up going back to my dermatologist in LA. Dr. Spann came highly recommended by a friend who has been spot on with all of her prior recommendations so I thought I would give Dr. Spann a try. Great recommendation. First off, the office works remarkably well and each of the front office people were very professional. I received multiple text reminders for my appointment. On coming in, temp is taken. Seats are nicely spaced in the waiting area. And they took me in on time! A first for a derm appointment in my experience. Dr. Spann came in with a big smile and a warm greeting, immediately putting me at ease. The exam she did was the most thorough and careful I have ever had by a dermatologist. She also made note of a recent medical article that was appropriate to the medications I am taking (frankly, I don’t think any prior dermatologist ever even looked at the medication list I submitted). Her office is a bit of a schlep from my home. But the care I received makes the drive worthwhile. More

After pregnancy & weight loss my breasts were deflated —I called them my C flats - Due to pregnancy and the weight loss after, my breasts had become small and not very full (I called them my C flats). Because of this my self-image had also become quite deflated.After a lot of research, I went to Dr. Spann for a breast augmentation consult. He was very thorough. I paid for a mole removal procedure on my upper lip, I had local anesthesia done in office in order to remove it by cosmetic surgeon dr. marvin. And you know what it looks good, it's healing pretty well, I'm not seeing or expecting a scar, it was shaved off clean and for the price it's in my budget. My mom said it's entirely gone and I'm glad I got it removed, I look so much better without it. I definitely would come here again to get any moles or spots removed. More

After experiencing some women pain and being put on estrogen Which caused me to gain a good 20lbs that would never come off, I decided to make a visit to see Dr. Spann. I was to the point where I had lost so much confidence and it didn’t feel like my body when I saw myself in the mirror. Dr. Spann was professional, honest and made me feel super comfortable. He Recommended Lipo and skin tightening. On the day of the procedure I was incredibly nervous but Spann and his assistants made those nerves quickly disappear. The procedure was quick and although I’d like to say painless that would be a lie. You should obviously expect some discomfort and healing time. I am so pleased with my new contour and stomach. I did not experience too much pain and was back to work (being mindful) a week later!!! I was worried that because of my liposuction I would be badly bruised and have significant pain (a friend had it done 6 months earlier (NOT BY Dr. Spann) and she was bruise beyond recognition and in pain for weeks and weeks following her procedure)). My experience could not have been more different! My bruising was minimal, as was my pain. The compression garment that I was given allowed for using the restroom without having to take it on and off, which is brilliant and saved me a lot of discomfort! The results? Wow! WOW!!! For me it was transformative both physically and mentally! I now wear skinny jeans, something that would have NEVER happened before. I can not say enough about both Dr. Marvin Spann and Dr. Candace Spann. Let's start with Dr. M., I met him 24 hours before my bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction surgery. I don't care for male Dr.'s, will go out of my way not to see them, but when cancers involved, you don't always have a choice. Honestly I'm grateful that he ended up on my side, months of visits, 2 surgeries and I got a beautiful pair of foobs. As far as him blowing off infections, haha I developed one and had more added appointments than I wanted. Now to Dr. C, I originally made an appointment to get my skin checked, and while there she pointed out 3 things, one of which was flared up thanks to one of my medications. I had been suffering for months, my skin and I thank her. Then I went back for Botox and filler, best choice I've made. My husband also sees Dr. C. He had a spot she didn't like, she cut it out and his back looks just fine. I always say there's a reason for everything, so for me cancer added 2 amazing doctors that actually care to my side, and in Vegas that's hard to find. More

My husband and I love this place! We've been four different times and have had a great experience each time. The office staff is always nice and friendly and we've never waited longer than 15 minutes in the waiting room. They usually take us right back. We normally see Kasie the NP and we love her! She's very knowledgeable and has great bedside manner. Being a nurse I can appreciate both. Dr. Spann is incredible as well! A bunch of my friends go to see her. My baby was crying during one of my appointments and the office staff was nice enough to come in and get him so I could finish my treatment with Kasie. Hi All, I've been seeing Dr. Candace Spann for about 3 years. Initially I went to her to resolve a hair loss issue. A scalp biopsy identified that my hair follicles were being attacked and destroyed by an immune disorder resulting in significant hair loss. Dr. Spann successfully treated this issue. Prior to the above visit, I had heard about the hair line product that she developed called "Retress" and began using it in an effort to get ahead of my hair loss problem. Her product helped to improve my hair health and growth. I began to see new baby fine hairs growing in around the front and sides of my hairline within about a month... maybe two. Note: You can purchase her product line on QVC. I recommend the entire product line package which includes shampoo, conditioner, serum & vitamin. Dr. Spann had also done lab work on me to see if anything else could be causing my hair loss. I am so glad she did! The results of these tests determined that I had extremely low vitamin D levels... she said "you must feel exhausted all the time" when she saw my results... and I did. I told her I was taking 2000 units per day and she was shocked. The really bad news was that my primary care doctor did not feel my low vitamin D levels were worth addressing even though I'd repeatedly told him how tired I felt (I did not know at that time that the two were related). Dr. Spann prescribed a prescription strength level vitamin D and I became a new woman... such a simple thing and yet it felt like a miracle. I hadn't had this much energy in years! I have continued my visits to Dr. Spann to address skin issues as well as hair issues (I don't think I can ever have enough hair on my head ;). One of the things I appreciate about her is that she is constantly learning and sharing her findings with me (and I am sure with her other patients as well). I have told Dr. Spann on multiple occasions (including today when I saw her) that I wish she could be my primary care doctor. In addition to being a skilled and knowledgeable dermatologist she is the kindest doctor I have ever known... I am 65 and I've known many. If you have any hair loss issues or skin issues I'd highly recommend Dr. Spann as her ability to identify and resolve issues in a healthy, sustainable manner are unsurpassed. I see her at least every 6 months just to stay on top of things. Under her care I now feel better than I did in my 40's... and I look better too... Having said that, I do follow her recommendations to the letter... this includes reading the books she recommends to improve health with simple dietary changes (my cholesterol is now in normal range... another miracle!). Cancer, nobody wants to hear about it, even when they tell you it is 100% treatable. I needed to get surgery to remove the affected area, Dr. Grace Kim personally called me to schedule the appointment and to make sure that I understood the procedure. This was more than I expected, much more, she was so kind, really taking her time to make sure that I was comfortable. I arrived for my appointment expecting to spend the entire morning waiting and not getting out for four hours, based on my previous experience with MOH's surgery for skin cancer. Much to my surprise I got this one early, thanks to regular skin inspections, and was done well before lunch. The staff and the Dr.'s at Couture made this and every other visit so pleasant and quick. I have been kept informed about all options and findings. I have been greeted with a smile and treated with kindness and professionalism. Severe Acne, Darker Skin Tone, Great Outcome! I am a 50-year-old African-American woman who has spent years and a lot of money trying to get help with horrible, disfiguring acne. I was depressed because I wanted to look nice. I was angry because my condition was dismissed as a fungal acne, as if I were unkempt and did not try to take care of myself. Antibiotics worked a little while I was taking them. I felt desperate and wanted to see someone familiar with African-American skin. I wanted to see an actual doctor, not a P.A. Two months later, I met with Tonia. I was skeptical, as she is not African-American. But she showed a lot of compassion and understood why I was so emotional. She was also confidant that something could be done. She was not intimidated by my skin tone. She promised me that if I would stick to a plan of action there was a solution. It has been almost one year. Treatment has included chemical peels and laser toning. I have also used PCA products which have worked extremely well. The providers at Couture are all very collaborative and coordinate treatments for the patient’s benefit, not for their personal gain. My skin looks so good, and I feel super confident. There are few times in my life where I've had the desire to do a review of a business establishment or in this case a physician. Several months ago I scheduled an appointment at Couture dermatology to see Dr. Candyce T. Spann. First off the office is elegant and extremely comfortable with informational promos playing throughout the office for your relaxation and information. Which shows she cares about the credibility of her practice. I never had any expectations ( of which she far exceeded) other than to see the dermatologist get my issue addressed and on with the day. Her caring staff came into my room upon her entry to speak to me briefly regarding my health issues, they were thorough in their assessment and process of gathering of information for Dr. Spann. In the past year & half I had seen 3 other dermatologist for the same issue of which I came to see Dr. Spann for. No other physician went the extra mile. Upon her examination of me Dr. Spann was ever so attentive ,gracious and extremely caring. She immediately focused in on the problem and was very proactive in my case to insist on further testing of blood-work of which results concluded another major health issue of which I was having absolutely no symptoms of & totally unrelated to my dermatological issue of what I initially sought out to see her for. I don't believe that I would have known about my extended health issue perhaps for many years to come,had she not displayed the proficiency, knowledgeable,forsight & experience to insist on further testing, literally saving me from a future of unforeseen health issues. Thus, giving me the ability and opportunity to be proactive in my own health care to resolve the issue. With the help of a very good Infectious Doctor and a good Surgeon I was able to hurdle all the obstacles towards the path to recovery. As a Health Care professional myself I appreciate the professional bedside manner he and his team provides. They are always consistent in terms of service and care even through their transition from a group clinic to a private practice. Dr. Spann seems to be a fairly good surgeon but he doesn't always have his patients best interest in mind. He will try to sell whatever surgery he can, disregarding what is healthy for his patients. If there is an emergency, or you develop an infection at a time that's not convenient for him-you are out of luck. I would not recommend Dr. Spann to anyone. More

Dr. Spann was a Godsend for my daughter! She has Asperger's Syndrome & is 19 yrs old. She is very tiny in stature, but had this huge chest! The doctor's my friends have used in the past do not take insurance at all, so I was forced to pick a doctor on my own. I could not have picked a better doctor if I tried!!! His staff took special care with my daughter & she never felt ill at ease or uncomfortable with them or Dr. Spann. Alyssa, the Patient Coordinator worked for 4 months with our insurance company to get her approved! Dr. Spann took a lot of time with her explaining everything so she would not be afraid. She is 2 months out & the results show what a good surgeon he is! I as a Mom can not thank them enough for the change that has taken place with my daughter! I had breast surgery done by Dr Spann a few months ago and I have to say that I am very VERY pleased. From the initial phone call to schedule my appointment, all the way through my follow up care, everything has been perfect. While he may not always come off as 'warm and fuzzy' Dr. Spann cares a great deal about his patients and his 'work'. He clearly wanted the best result possible for me, gave me realistic expectations, and was genuinely concerned when I developed an unrelated complication! Dr. Spann is awesome! She has been helping me with a particular type of "calcified nodules" if you will, that are on my face due to inflammation from cystic acne. It is a rare condition and I have it. The only way to remove them is to surgically extract them. I went to a doctor prior to Dr. Spann and it was very traumatic. He was heavy handed, leaving me with scars and it would always bleed the next day, he left ugly, dark stitches and the scars, oh my...I felt like the Bride of Frankenstein (that's what it reminded me of). He was not current with modern techniques/materials to use for this procedure and it was so upsetting. I thought that there had to be a better way. Dr. Spann has been brilliant at removing these nodules and my skin has been healing beautifully. She has taken this difficult situation and made it much less traumatic for me and the results are moving in a positive direction. I cannot thank her enough. What a wonderful person she is. Dr. Candace Spann is brilliant! - Dr. Spann has been a blessing to me! I have suffered from cystic acne the majority of my life and, as a result I ended up with a rare condition of these calcified nodules that can only be surgically extracted. I had a negative experience with another doctor and Dr. Spann's expertise has made the experience not as traumatic . My skin is healing beautifully and I am getting positive results. These ladies ARE TOP NOTCH!! I have had a misdiagnosed skin problem for 9+ years now...i have been to EVERY kind of doctor (so many times each doctor) i have been prescribed every 600$ shampoo and 480$ foam and every type of treament you can even imagine...cryo surgery ( that was a misdiagnosis) 1000 spent on that 6 times (waste) shots in my head (painful) did not work...the list goes ON AND ON AND ON..........9 years worth...I lost my beautiful hair, it all fell out, because of all of the failed treatments...I walked out of Dr. Zamboni's office in tears (this problem started 2 weeks after surgery from him) his office could not locate my surgery file (really) ...i will stop there......I found this dermatology place on a blog from someone else talking about them. I found her and waited 3 months before i got the courage to call..they got me in asap. Once I got there I went straight back!! After 40 years with my dermatologist I asked my physician (board member at the hospital) for a referral to someone else. Without hesitation he suggested Dr. Candace Spann, on Tenaya next to Mt. View Hospital. Have been happy with her and Dr. Marvin Spann for over a year. Body checks are head-to-toe, with informative information. Personality plus from everyone in the office. IF I wait, it's rare and never very long. She never rushes through our visits, asking for concerns and generally interested in her patients. Couture is the medical office of both Dr Marvin Spann & Dr Candance Spann. Dr Marvin Spann is a plastic surgeon who our family credits with saving our Mother. Our Mother underwent a double mastectomy and a different plastic surgeon did a portion of the surgery. Needless to say there were numerous complications, multiple infections and multiple surgeries to follow. By the grace of God the original surgeon was out of town and Dr Marvin Spann was on call for him. My Mother being very ill, in tremendous pain called into her Dr. Dr Spann being the on call Dr stay late into the evening to see her. She was in terrible shape physically and emotionally. He called me we spoke for over 45 minutes about my Mothers case where he informed me he wanted to operate the next day he believed she had infection from the open wounds and was not comfortable leaving her in this condition. Dr Spann was thoughtful, kind, confident in his approach, detailed so we all knew what his plan was. He operated, communicated before and after surgery. We took my Mother home that evening and the next morning after surgery she felt incredible. She was back to her old self the change was amazing. Past the front desk, you will find a real doctor's doctor! Dr. Candace Spann is the dermatologist that I as a physician have chosen to care for my wife. And my wife could not be more pleased. Dr. Spann has that unique combination of skill, intellect, personality "bedside manner" and compassion that we other doctors envy and we know that our patients are looking for. We understand the pressure of time for Docs and how forgetful we can be when we're the patient so always come prepared with our meds, medical problems, and questions written down so we don't miss or forget something or contribute to the doctor being late for the next patient. I don't normally write reviews, but my experience with Couture has been so unexpected that I was compelled to sing their praises. I have an expectation going to a doctor's appointment. You expect a rather sterile environment, a long wait, and a doctor rushing out to see their next patient. Well the Spanns have turned that concept on its ear. When I walked into the office, I did a double take--did I just walk onto the set of an Architectural Digest photo shoot? The office is set up in the style of a living room, and I was greeted as if arriving at a friend's home. The staff greeted me by name, remembering me as a patient with Dr. Spann's former practice. I was called back by another fresh faced employee within five minutes of completing my paperwork. I waited in the room for less than five minutes before seeing Dr. Candace Spann (derm). I have never been greeted by Dr. Spann with anything less than an ear-to-ear grin and loads of enthusiasm. If she hasn't written a book on bedside manners, she ought to. She has it nailed. She makes you so comfortable and takes the time to explain everything. You can tell from her explanations that she is a thoughtful, cutting-edge doctor with a real passion for what she does. Dr's Marvin and Candace Spann are wonderful doctors and have a fabulous new office. I followed them from Las Vegas Skin and Cancer (LVSC) because I trust them with my health and well being. The Couture office is beautifully decorated and their staff is extremely friendly and helpful! The previous post, rating reception so low and complaining about the laptops must be technology challenged and afraid to ask for help. The front reception has offered assistance to all during every visit I have had at the office. I am a breast cancer survivor and have frequent appointments for my reconstructive process. I have nothing but admiration and strong accolades for the husband and wife doctors and ALL of their staff. I am a patient of Dr. Marvin Spann, I went in to his new office today and was very impressed by the luxury and comfort of the waiting room. They even have an area for children to play that is the nicest I have ever seen at any doctors office. I was warmly greeted upon entering the office by the receptionist. I signed in and waited for my appointment. I did watch as the receptionist came out from behind her desk to assist a new patient fill out the patient information forms. I really appreciate that they have all of their forms done electronically, Very Professional! I was called into my appointment early by Ashley shown to my room. Dr. Spann is the best doctor I've ever been to. I had been seeing another doctor with LVSCC for several years but after a couple bad appointments, switched to her. She is the only dermatologist I've ever had who literally checked me from head to toe. She's very attentive and has great bedside manner. I was so disappointed to learn she recently left the practice to start her own with her husband. It's called Couture Dermatology & Plastic Surgery. Unfortunately, they don't accept my insurance, yet. I can't imagine going to another dermatologist so I'm hoping they will eventually accept my insurance. More

Dr. Spann is by far the best physician that I have ever come in contact with! She is very knowledgable in her profession and genuinely cares about her patients. She carefully listens to every concern and explores all possible reasons for your problem so that the appropriate treatment can be applied. I had an unexpected and terrible encounter with hair loss and she knew exactly how to treat it. Now my hair is healthy and has grown back in the areas of loss. She listened when other doctor's at the Skin & Cancer Institute dismissed my questions and concerns and simply recommended Rogaine instead of getting to the root of the problem or exploring if Rogaine treatment was even appropriate. I appreciate everything that Dr. Spann has done for me and I wish there were more doctor's like her. More
Dr Spann diagnosed my problem right away and recommended a simple relatively low cst solution in terms of the skin care products (available at Walgreens). Overall, Dr. Spann is very personable and attentive. She did attempt to let her nurse choose an infected area (across half an appendage) to prep for bioposy; he tried to go for the most visible, central point, which felt wrong, and I had to insist that Dr. Spann be brought back in... she naturally understood and took the sample from a more suitable location. Like all the doctors that I've seen at LV Skin & Cancer - I've seen several, including the PA, in the last few years), she will ALWAYS find a reason to prescribe a med (topical or internal) that my pharmacist calls a "scam racket": a conventional med with one superfluous component - which could be taken separately in generic - marketed as a specialty to charge the insurance hundreds for what should be $10, until the insurance cuts it off after two months, and the Dr. relents and prescribes the generic. Perhaps not the Dr.'s fault - probably a corporate practice policy. More
Dr. Spann- seemed knowledgable when I first met her. However, I did wonder why after given all the history I gave her that she did not run a blood test. I have a ongoing problem for 4 months and NO one has checked the blood? I took her word that she knew the problem-only to take the prescribed meds and have an adverse reaction. I called her 4 times and she never returned my calls=that is negligence. Her office apologized several times-but I still had to go to the ER to get off the meds she prescribed. Coming from a family of physicians-this is appalling. I will not recommend her and I understand from another patient this is NOT the first time. More
